House, late C17 with C18 alterations and added barn late C18. Hammer-dressed
stone, stone slate roof. 3-room hall-and-cross-wing plan (which is ruinous to
left hand end of crosswing). Main range north facing road has doorway with
lugged architrave and triangular pediment. To left is 3-light chamfered
mullioned window with one of 4 lights over to 1st floor. To right of doorway
double chamfered mullioned windows of 2 lights (fire-window?) and 4 lights,
inserted doorway with monolithic jambs taken out of 4-light window with king
mullion (now 1 + 3). 1st floor has taking-in door (blocked) and 4 square
windows with chamfered surrounds. Quoins between house and barn which has semi-
circular arched cart entry with impost block. Owl hole over. At junction of
house and barn is mistal doorway with composite jambs and chamfered surround.
South front has quoins, and segmental-arched cart entry with stop chamfered
surround (possibly C17 and reused). Gabled porch with paired doorways has long
kneelers to left of double chamfered mullioned window formerly of 4 lights; 6-
light window with king mullion, 2-light fire-window. The interior of this room
has segmental-arched fireplace with cyma moulded surround. 1st floor has
chamfered mullioned windows of 4 lights, and 3 of 2 lights. All lack some or
all mullions. Single stack to ridge.
