GV II
House. Probably late C17 enlarged early C18. Thinly-rendered rubble with
stone quoins, boulder plinth and ashlar dressings. Roof of dark grey asbestos
slates with stone chimneys, the left raised in brick.

2 storeys, 3 bays. Partly-glazed door in second bay under flat stone lintel;
similar lintels to flanking square windows with late C19 sashes. Similar
windows in outer bays of first floor, and small 4-pane light over door. Square
end chimneys, the left with corniced old brick addition, on massive external
stacks with offsets. Rear full-width outshut under catslide roof.

Interior shows roughly-chamfered spine beam in left bay, probably the earliest
build. 2 transverse beams in right part have cyma-stopped chamfers. Dogleg
closed-string stair in main part of house at rear of centre; balustrade removed;
short balustrade on top landing has stick balusters and groove-sided handrail,
with square newels. Roof shows 2 pairs of stout, sawn upper crucks; apex not
accessible.
