Lodge. 1876-8 by Alfred Waterhouse, altered C20. Red brick in
Flemish bond, with darker header bricks in horizontal bands;
steeply pitched tiled roof with crested ridge tiles. T-plan.
EXTERIOR: one storey and 2 storeys. Central ridge chimney with
offset head. Gable has corbelled first floor, corbelled
kneelers; toothed and dentilled brickwork under verges. High,
projecting, and weathered plinth. Sash windows with
segmental-arched heads. Entrance (south-east) front: 2 bay
gable on right. 2 bay, one-storey part on left with planked
entrance door.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
The lodge is one of 5 lodges to Silwood Park (qv) built by
Alfred Waterhouse.
