2 cottages, part of a row. Reputed to originally have been C17 stables, raised
and converted to dwellings C18/C19. Originally timber-framed, but very largely
rebuilt in C18/C19 brick. Thatched; brick ridge stacks. Each cottage is a 2-unit
plan. 2 s+oreysj each is a 2-window range. Entrances in angles. 2-light
casements with glazing bars throughout. Olde T hatch on left has late C20 door.
Wood and iron casements; first floor has cross-glazed and part-leaded casements.
Tallatt's Thatch Cottage has plank door with pitched thatched hood. Late C20
casements. Roof curves down on right. Ground floor openings have brick segmental
arches throughout. First floor windows have former wall plate below. Rear has
traces of timber-framing. Interiors have chamfered beans and traces of exposed
trading,
