GV II
House. C.1560. Timber framed and clad in painted weatherboarding. Gabled peg
tile roof with stack behind ridgeline towards east end of roof. Of 2 storeys
but with lean-to single storey extension on east end. Long wall jetty house
with 3 original jetty brackets exposed on front and one exposed inside Penvites
to the west. Front has a variety of C19 casements and one C17 window with some
rectangular leaded lights. Jowled posts, chamfered joists with soffit tenons
and diminished haunches. Jowled posts, shallow arch braces to tie beams and 'V'
strut wind braced side purlin roof. Rear wall inglenook stack and one complete
diamond mullion window.
