Dated 1851. Red brick blacksmiths workshop with sandstone dressings. Steeply
pitched tiled roof with gabled ends and overhanging eaves. Sandstone plinth.
Single storey building with large external gabled chimney stack at centre of
front with stone set-offs, a large horseshoe depicted on raised brickwork with a
brick dripmould and date stone '1851' in the gable. Two-light casement with
glazing bars and shutters to left and plank door to right in a cambered arched
doorway. Segmental arched windows in end walls, south end blind. Wing at rear
(east) with gambrel roof, wrought iron weathervane and cart entrance.
