Circa Cl6 timber-framed range of cottages with red brick infill panels. Nos 8 &
9 (to left) which are recessed, are later (late C16) than Nos 6 & 7 (early C16).
On sandstone foundations. Steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends.
No 7 is a single cross wing house originally jettied, but built up in red brick
in C18. No 6 is one storey and attic with C17 timber-framed outshut at rear.
Nos 7, 8, 9 two storeys, five window range. Two- and three-light casements with
glazing bars, those to Nos 6 modern, remainder C18/19. Four plank doors.
Gabled dormer to No 6 with two-light casement with glazing bars. Attached to
west gable is a massive sandstone ashlar chimney stack diminished by a series of
splays to a square brick stack. Three other brick chimney stacks.
