House. Mid-C18 with mid-C20 alterations. Brick with alternating patterns
of headers and stretchers, painted stone dressings and plain tiled roof with
right end ridge stack. Two storeys and attic with dormer; band at first
floor level and narrow moulded eaves cornice. Three bays; rusticated end
quoins; two ground floor C20 multi-paned bow windows with moulded cornices;
three first floor windows with cambered heads and stone keyblocks; windows
in outer bays have moulded architraves and are 16-pane sashes; central
window is a C20 replacement sash window in the original opening; small
central pedimented gable with semi-circular headed 6-pane attic window
(probably replacing original lunette); central entrance has a moulded
cornice, an eared and moulded architrave and door with six raised and fielded
panels; four stone steps with simple cast iron railings lead up to entrance.
Attic light in right gable end. Interior not inspected but noted as having
substantial ceiling beams and also some heavy rear wall-framing which suggest
earlier origins.
