about 30 yards east
of Brook Farmhouse

GV II

Gate and gate piers. Probably c1866. Wrought iron gate and cast iron gate
piers. Wide gate with spear-heads to bars and dog bars with curving rails.
Gate piers are tapered cast iron fluted columns with finials. Forms an
important feature in the approach to Brook Farmhouse (qv) and the adjacent
farmstead complex, especially the stables, tack room and trap house (qv).
Included for group value as a complete example.
