Early C19 facade to Cl7 house. 2 storeys, 5 windows, that on left over
carriageway. Painted brick, except for rendered left bay. Low-pitched,
hipped, slated roof with deep eaves soffit. 2 canted bay windows extending
through both storeys and alternating with smaller windows. The bays show
pilasters and entablature with modillioned cornice; the smaller windows
have decorative brick surrounds some with rudimentary guttae beneath.
All glazing is of circa 1900. Door of 4 fielded and 2 beaded:panels, with
cornice head and patterned fanlight, in panelled reveal. Doorcase has
narrow, reeded pilasters and entablature with dentil cornice and open pediment.
Visible timber framing on East wall filled partly with narrow brick and
partly with malmstone. NMR.
No 12, Nos 16 to 28 (even) and No 28A form a group.
