15/88 Two bridges over River Frome

II

Two small bridges over River Frome approximately 40m apart. Early-
mid C18. Coursed rubble limestone. Low narrow bridges with single
semi-circular arch to each. No parapets, both now with grassed
surfaces. Later railings and fencing added. Both bridges appear to
pre-date the construction of the nearby canal. The provision of a
new route from Ham Mill to the weaving settlement of Bagpath
appears to have rendered these earlier bridges redundant. Now
standing in private garden.
