Mill

GV II

Windmill tower. 1804 with alterations of c1980. Tarred brick. 7-storey
tapered round tower with lower section now incorporated in restaurant. C20
casements in segmental-headed openings with stone sills. Dentilled cornice
and corbelled-out cylindrical top section. Flat roof. Operated as windmill
until damaged by fire in 1911, then as machine-driven mill from 1924 to
1960s. Adjoining buildings are of no special interest.
