18/27 Manor House
GV II
House. Early - mid C18 with later alterations and additions. Coursed
limestone rubble with brick gables, dressings and stacks, rendered bay
windows, colour-washed throughout. Pantile roof. Plan: 2-room central
entrance-hall front with 2-room wing to rear right. 2 storeys, 3 bays;
symmetrical. Quoins. Recessed 6-panel door (top 4 panels glazed) and
3-pane overlight in C19 Doric door-case with pilasters, plain frieze and
cornice, flanked by early C19 square flat-roofed ground-floor bay windows
with 16-pane flush sashes to front and single-light windows to sides. First
floor: 3 recessed 12-pane sashes with timber lintels and sills. Raised and
tumbled brick gable to left. End stacks. Interior not investigated.
