GV II

House. C17, with some early C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Timber-frame with
painted brick infill on rubble plinth with tile roof. L-plan with limbs
extending to south and east, main stack in centre of south range. West front
has gabled cross-wing to left. Two storeys with one plus two windows, a 2-
light casement to left and two 3-light casements. Ground floor fenestration
similar, the entrance to right of cross-wing has a ledged and boarded door.
Rubble stack projects through wall to right with tile covering, and main rail
has a plank weathering. Framing: the cross-wing has a shallow jetty with
simple scroll brackets. The walls are four square panels high. The south
gable truss has three struts to the collar with trenched purlins. (RCHM, 3,
