House. Early C17, with some mid-C19 extensions and mid-C20 repairs. Timber-
frame with rendered infill on coursed rubble base with tile roof. T-plan, the
cross-wing aligned north/south, rear wing to east. Main stack at junction of
rubble with brick shaft. West front of two storeys on basement. Two windows,
both are 3-light casements. Ground floor has 2-light casement to left and 3-
light casement to right, both with plank weatherings. Basement has an entrance
to left of centre with plain wooden architrave and a C17 ledged and boarded
door. Main entrance in south front. Framing: three rectangular panels high to
ground floor, two square panels high to first floor with herringbone bracing
forming lozenge pattern. The north gable truss has diagonal struts forming a
lozenge pattern. (RCHM, 3, p 139, no 2).
