Barn. Probably late C17 to early C18 with later alterations. Sandstone
rubble plinth. Timber-frame with weatherboards and woven infill.
Sandstone rubble and brick. Welsh slate and corrugated iron roof.
Rectangular five-bay plan aligned east/west. South elevation has sand-
stone rubble part, probably early C19, to left with two vent loops. Centre
and right parts are weatherboarded with woven infill to top row of panels.
Opposed two-leaved doors to wagon entry to left of centre. To the right
a pair of square openings flank a ledged door. Right-hand return has a
weatherboarded and framed lean-to. West gable is largely rebuilt in
C19 brick. Frame has three square panels from cill to wall-plate.
Interior has raking strut trusses. RCHM erroneously describes the barn
as having three bays. Included for group value. (RCHM, Vol III, p 135).
