The bulk of the house is of 1865, but the original building, now the
West wing is a house of circa 1800. On street front this part is of 3
storeys and basement, 4 windows. Yellow stock brick with stone mutuled eaves
cornice and blocking course. Stone bands at 1st and 2nd floor cills.
Arcaded ground floor with keystones probably added. Altered by the addition of
a fancy foliated impost band when the large 1865 eastern extension was built.
Large ornamental cast iron porch to later building. Rear elevation shows
western part with 2 full length round bows, each with 3 sash windows on each
floor, except ground floor right which has French door. Between the bows another
central French door; and single sash. windows above. Victorian additions
appear at right.
