Farmhouse. Dated 1692 on lintel of inner doorway; altered. Coursed squared
sandstone, slate roof with ridge chimney. Three-bay baffle-entry plan. Two
storeys; continuous dripcourse; modern porch in line with ridge chimney at
junction of 1st and 2nd bays, the lintel of the inner doorway lettered in
relief G ; 4 slightly-recessed mullioned windows on each floor, 2,

5, 3 and 2 lights at ground floor and 3, 1, 5 and 3 above. Left gable has
similar 3-light window at ground floor and another altered as a casement
above, both with hoodmoulds; rear has 5 similar windows at 1st floor, 5 lights
in the centre otherwise all 2 lights; most prominent feature of rear is an
unusual 2-storey gabled porch or bay at junction of 1st and 2nd bays, possibly
a C19 addition, built of large dressed blocks and with deeply splayed corners
at ground floor, the upper level corbelled over them: this has a doorway in
the centre flanked by 2-light windows in the corners, a similar window at 1st
floor, and in the apex of the gable coping a Celtic head. Interior:
baffle-entry heck, inglenook bressummer, ovolo-moulded beams in housepart, and
imitations of these in the 1st bay (these not of timber).
