Farmhouse. Early to mid-C17 with mid-to late C18 addition. Timber framed
with painted brick nogging on brick plinth, partly rebuilt in brick with
painted imitation framing. Red brick addition. Plain tile roof.
Framing: small square panels (3 from sole plate to wall plate) with short
corner braces and long straight tension braces. T-plan. Baffle-entry hall
range of 3 framed bays at right angle to road with C18 cross wing to west.
One storey and attic with 2 storey cross wing. South front: central timber
framed gabled eaves dormer with C20 two-light wooden casement. Hall range with
large brick ridge stack off-centre to right and stack in front of ridge off-
centre to left. Cross wing with plat bands, toothed-brick eaves cornice,
parapeted gable ends with moulded stone kneelers, and integral brick end stack
to front. Hall range with 3-window front; C20 three-light wooden casements.
Door between first and second windows from left with 4 raised and fielded
panels. C17 two-storey timber framed and brick gabled porch with first-floor
3-light wooden casement, segmental-arched entrance and segmental-arched side
openings with splat balusters. Boarded door between first and second windows
from left. Return of cross wing with C20 two-light wooden casements. Rear
of cross wing with C20 two-light wooden casements and blind attic window.
