Farmhouse. 1754-6, by William Baker for Charles Pigot. Red brick with
pyramidal plain tile roof. Square plan, 3 x 3 bays. Gothick style. 2
storeys and attic over basement. Plinth (to south) and dentil brick eaves
cornice. Central brick stack at apex of roof. 1:1:1 bays: glazing bar sashes
with painted stone cills and painted segmental heads. Central break with stepped
battlemented parapet and Gothick attic window with Y-tracery. Central door of
6 raised and fielded panels, with panelled reveals and soffit, moulded impost band,
fanlight with intersecting Gothick tracery, and doorcase consisting of reeded
pilaster strips supporting sections of entablature with paterae in frieze and
open triangular pediment with dentil cornice. Side and rear elevations; some
blind windows and central break with battlemented parapet and Gothick attic
window. 2-storey service wing at rear with dentil brick eaves cornice. crow-
stepped gable end, brick ridge stack and integral brick end stack. Interior:
4 rooms with corner fireplaces. Central stack divided by staircase. Plain
