Farmhouse, latterly divided, now house. Mid-C17. Timber framed with
plastered and painted brick infill; rubblestone and brick plinth; C20 machine
tile roof. L-plan; 2 framed bays aligned approximately north-west/south-east
with one bay gabled cross-wing projecting to north-east. Framing: square
panels (3 from sole-plate to wall-plate) with short straight corner braces.
One storey and attic. North-west front: brick stack off-ridge to right on
cross-wing and C19 diagonal brick stack to rear; cross-wing to left with
Cl9 two-light wooden casement and boarded door to left; hall range projecting
to right with C19 two-light wooden casement in each floor of gable end and
exposed collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts and v-struts; left-hand
return front with 3-light wooden casements to right and boarded door to left
with gabled porch. Probably C19 lean-to addition at rear with slate roof.
Interior: chamfered beams with ogee stops; large open fireplace with
ogee-stopped chamfered lintel; old boarded doors with strap hinges.
