Shown on O. S. map as Hall Farm.
Farmhouse, now divided. Mid-to late C17, altered and extended in the
late C19. Timber framed with painted brick nogging on brick plinth, clad
in galvanised metal sheeting at rear; partly rebuilt or refaced and
extended in red brick on coursed rubblestone plinth, painted to front,
partly in imitation framing; plain tile roofs. Hall range of 3 framed
bays aligned east-west with projecting gabled cross-wing to left of
2 framed bays with C19 parallel cross-wing. Framing: square panels
(4 from sole-plate to wall-plate) with short straight corner braces;
top 2 tiers of panels to left-hand part of hall range appear to be later
additions after the eaves of this part were raised at a later date. Two
storeys. Brick ridge stacks to hall range and cross-wing, and integral
brick lateral stack to right of C19 cross-wing. North front: hall range
to left with 2 first-floor C19 two-light wooden casements to right,
ground-floor C20 three-light metal casement to right and C20 door off-centre
to right; cross-wings: left-hand with C20 three-light metal casement
on each floor, and right-hand with first-floor C19 three-light segmental-
headed wooden casements, pair of segmental-headed French casements to right
and segmental-headed 6-panelled door to left with bracketed lean-to
porch. Left-hand return front has 6-panelled door with lean-to porch:
Exposed collar and tie-beam truss with raking struts in left-hand gable
end of main range. Interior only partly inspected; chamfered beams with
ogee stops in cross-wing.
