Canal lock and basin. 1780s, with later repairs. English bond brick with coping
of large sandstone blocks. End wall to right of lock has large quoins. Some
parts of coping replaced with concrete blocks. Basin retaining walls are also in
part of large sandstone blocks. Drained at time of survey. Single and double
lock gates. The section of the Coventry Canal from Atherstone to Fazeley was
completed by 1790.
