Coleshill Hall Hospital and
attached coach house and

Country house, now hospital. 1873. Red and blue brick with ashlar quoins and
dressings: plain tile roof with raised verges; brick ridge stacks. Gothic style.
Principal alignment north-east/south-west facing south-east with coach house and
stables attached to the south-west. 2 storeys and attic. 2:1:2 bays: windows
mainly mullioned and transomed: large attic dormer to the left with brick gable
and smaller dormers elsewhere. Central 3-storey porte cochere tower with first
floor oriel window with stone roof; 2 second floor lancets and a crenellated
parapet. Gable end of the chapel to the left attached to the main house by a
set-back link. It has 2 ground floor casements, a first floor oriel window on a
buttress, and a central bellcote with hipped roof. To the far left are
contemporary former coach house and stables with steeply pitched roofs, arranged
around 2 courtyards. Interior; stately entrance hall containing a staircase and
first floor gallery with wrought iron balustrades.
