3/104 Garden Wall to the Croft


GV II

A stretch of garden wall, formerly part of the wall extending from the south-
east corner of the house, but now detached from it by the insertion of a wide
carriage entrance. Early C19. High, in bands of random flint and old red
brick arranged in a pattern of wide curves, surmounted by semi-circular coping
tiles; serpentine form. Flush brick piers are spaced at intervals along it; a
small archway has a semi-circular red brick surround. The end bay nearest the
road has been demolished, leaving one jamb of another arched opening.
