House. Circa 1890s. Red brick with blue brick bands. Clay plain tile roof with gabled ends and scalloped tile canopies. Brick gable end stacks. Eclectic late Victorian style. PLAN: Double depth with entrance and stairhall on right and drawing room on left with dining room and service wing behind. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic. Asymmetrical 2-bay front with gable on left. Timber loggia on ground floor serving as porch on right and projecting around bay windows with sashes on left, with thin turned posts and modillion cornice; panelled door on right with side lights and overlights with leaded panes. Shallow wooden oriel above with tiled canopy on brackets and wooden bay window on left with tall narrow sash windows with glazing bars, and also with tiled canopy. Timber gable over with bracketed verges, moulded bargeboards and bay window on small brackets with small sashes; deeply overhanging Lombardy frieze type of bracketed eaves on right of gable. INTERIOR: Hall/vestibule screen with stained glass panels; staircase with turned balusters and newel with ball finial; chimneypieces in drawing room and dining room.
