House. Circa 1890s. Red brick with terracotta dressings and tile-hung gable. Clay plain tile gabled roof. Brick gable-end stack. Eclectic late Victorian Queen Anne style. PLAN: Double depth with entrance and stairhall on right and drawing room on left with dining room and service wing behind. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic. Asymmetrical 2-bay front. Large 2-storey canted bay on left, with tall narrow sashes with glazing bars at top, flat rubbed brick arches with terracotta fluted keyblocks and bracketed cills; panels over ground floor windows with masks and festoons, keyblocks of first floor windows have cornices integrated into moulded cornice above; tile-hung gable over with overhanging bracketed verges and 3-light window. Doorway on right with stuccoed pilasters and large console brackets to heavy corniced canopy, segmental brick arch to recessed porch, panelled door with side lights and overlight; narrow sash above with flanking brick pilasters and smaller gable over with deeply overhanging verges on brackets, collar and pendant. INTERIOR not inspected.
