3/141 Stable Flat, Pinkney Park
House

Former stables, now dwelling. Dated EC/1791 with late C19
alterations and additions. Coursed rubble with some render, flush
rusticated dressed stone quoins, stone dressings and gabled roofs
with stone slates except section to west which has double Roman
concrete tiles. U-shaped plan with C18 core range of 2 storeys and
7 bays and C19 wings at right-angles to each end. C18 range with 3
segmental-headed cart entrance to centre and 2-light edge-moulded
mullions with 2-pane casements to upper floor and 2 ground floor
bays to right. Late C19 gabled upper window to left, doorway below
with plank door. Similar door to right with hayloft door above.
2-leaf plank gates to cart openings except third to right which is
part glazed with door. Three stone ridge stacks and 1 tall lateral
stack to left. Built by the Estcourt-Cresswell family to serve the
now demolished Pinkney Park.
