Aqueduct carrying Kennet and Avon Canal over River Avon. Circa
1810 by J. Rennie. Limestone ashlar with some brick patching.
Three tall segmental-headed arches with chamfered voussoirs,
central arch taller, vermiculated bands on piers, rock-faced plat
bands, recessed moulded panel on east side to centre, modillioned
cornice to plain parapet with weathered coping, approach sections
of parapet are balustraded. Canal closed and drained in 1954,
reopened following restoration in 1980s.
