History

Early C19 former pair of cottages associated with the Brecon & Abergavenny canal, this last stretch to Brecon opened in 1800.

Exterior

House, former pair of cottages, rubble stone with imitation slates to close-eaved roof and small stone end stacks. Two storeys, three-window range of small-paned hopper type windows, the upper ones under eaves of 6 panes, the lower ones with cambered heads and stone voussoirs of 9 panes, alternated with two doors with similar heads. Board doors, stone sills. C20 loft window inserted in S end wall and C20 added lean-to to rear.
