Cottage, mid C19, one of a pair, not marked on 1845 tithe map. Ystumtuen was a lead-mining settlement with four mines around, the oldest Ystumtuen in existence in 1705.
Cottage in short row, a mirrored pair with cottage to left. Rubble stone with slate eaves roof and two chimneys at right end, one each side of ridge, the front one stone, the rear one rendered. Two storeys, with 12-pane hornless sash each floor to centre, the upper one smaller. Stone voussoirs to ground floor, brick above, and slate sills. To extreme left is C20 door with timber lintel.
Not available for inspection.
Included as one of a pair of cottages in late Georgian style, probably associated with lead-mining.
