Exterior

Probably established c1815, but out of use by 1859. A bank of 4 lime kilns, with brick arched drawing hole vaults in retaining walls of rough rubble, built against the bank of the canal. Charging holes no longer visible.

Reasons for Listing

A relatively complete early C19 kiln bank, of special interest for its association with the Montgomeryshire Canal.
