Earlier 19th century. 10-bay terrace of single storey, 3-bay (1 4-bay), rectangular-plan, improved cottages. E facing. Harled whinstone and slate rubble. Regular fenestration. Rear elevations obscured where terrace cut into bank, terrace terminating in harled gable ends.
Boarded timber doors to centre of each, small flanking 4-pane timber sash and case windows. Additional bay to No 54 at outer right. Grey slates, replacement slates to 53, iron/lead flashing, coped gable stacks, skew to 53 N gable. No 54 semi-derelict.
INTERIORS: not seen 2001.
