Description

Late 18th to early 19th century. 2-storey with attic and basement, 3-bay rectangular-plan symmetrical house with crowstepped-gable to sea (E) built on ground falling to E. Harled-pointed roughly coursed/random rubble with cement margins to openings; harled to E.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set modern part-glazed timber door with 3-light rectangular fanlight at ground in bay to centre; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor, including attic, in each bay flanking.

E (SEAWARD) ELEVATION: single bay gabled wall. Boarded door at basement, window at ground and small attic window above offset to left of centre; multi-flue gablehead stack above.

Modern glazing with top-hung upper lights; fixed timber-framed attic windows. Caithness slate roof; stone ridge; harled stacks to E and W; moulded cans; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1997.

WALLED GARDEN: open-jointed Caithness flagstone walls to close along S side of random rubble walls to rectangular-plan garden to E.
