Description

Dated 1877. 2-storey 2-bay baronial end-of-terrace house; snecked and stugged cream sandstone with ashlar dressings; crow-stepped gables; stop-chamfered arrises.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: to left, panelled door with plate glass fanlight; single window above, under eaves. Gabled canted window at ground to right, corbelled to square at 1st floor with bipartitie window; datestone in gable.

S (ABBEY CLOSE) ELEVATION: gabled with corbelled gablehead stack; bipartite window at ground with timber mullion; single window above.

N ELEVATION: gabled with stack as above; window to 1st floor at far right.

4-pane timber sash and case windows, plate glass to bipartitie and sides of canted windows. Corbel skewputts; coped ashlar stacks; grey slates; cast-iron downpipes. Elegant street lamp attached to S gable.

BOUNDARY WALL AND RAILINGS: dwarf rubble wall with saddleback coping steps down Abbey Close, with cast-iron arrowhead railings and gates.
