Description

Presented by John Monteath Esq of Eddleston 1912. Supplied by Walter MacFarlane and Company Saracen Iron Foundry Possilpark, Glasgow and erected under supervision of W H Purdie Master of Works. Octagonal canopy on cast iron stanchions with lute motif at ornate cantiliver brackets. Modern asbestos roof, central wrought-iron crown and crests at centre of each face. Boarded ceiling. Brick base, low wrought-iron railings with ornamental centre panels.
