Probably Bruce and Hay. Dated 1884. Built for the Commercial
Bank of Scotland with flats above.
4-storey attic 5-by 5-bay corner block with ashlar front and
brick rear. Columned corner entrance, panelled door, cornice
and blind balustrade. Ground floor intact. Bridge Street has
niche, engaged columns on octagonal pedestals and entrance
with broken segmental pediment. Kingston Street similar, with
pilasters and stair entrance. Moulded panels under windows.
Dentil cornice. 1st floor scalloped windowheads. Paired demi
pilasters over panels divide bays. Curved 2-bay corner. 2nd
and 3rd floor bays divided by paired pilasters, some windows
blind and some bipartite. Entablature over each storey.
Dentil cornice balustrade, attic dormer windows and slate
roof.
