Description

Gavin Paterson, 1902-3. 2-storey large villa with Scots Renaissance ornament. Snecked grey ashlar, polished dressings, crow-steps, some strap-worked pediments. L-plan front to Sherbrooke Avenue with advanced gable right with conical-roofed turret, porch in re-entrant

angle, 2 bays to left, pedimented dormer heads. Tall stacks; slate roof. Windows mostly with small-paned top sashes. Long asymmetrical rear wing, and detached outbuilding.

Battered circular gatepiers; to stepped boundary wall, intermediate piers with projecting caps.
