Description

Built 1891-2; shows influence of Alexander Thomson. 2-
storey 3-bay villa, window to left canted at ground,
bowed at 1st floor with colonnade and decorative low
cast-iron balcony; porch in re-entrant angle has
unusually deep-eaved gabled roof, banded stonework,
Thomsonesque pilaster capitals. Stone-cleaned yellow
ashlar, stugged and snecked with polished dressings and
horizontal bands; broad-eaved slate roofs curved over
bow; windows mostly sashes with T-shaped glazing. Fire
escape on W flank.
Stepped boundary wall to street.
