Description

F Burnet, (Burnet and Boston) dated 1897. English Renaissance
detail. 3-storey, basement and attic, 2 asymmetrical bays;
red ashlar front. Gabled bay to left with 3-storey, 5-light
ovoid window with Corinthian capitals to giant shafts at
1st and 2nd floors, carved cartouches, keyblocked Diocletian
window in gable, figure sculpture at apex. Gibbs surround to
ground floor openings. Right bay with double doorways with
Corinthian columns, swan-neck pediment and pulvinated frieze,
tripartite windows to floors above.
INTERIOR: hall retains original cashiers desk and box.
