Ross circa 1928 and 1947. Renaissance details. 4-storeys
and attic, 5 bays to St Vincent Street, 7 bays to West
Nile Street with shop front at No 28. Ashlar, channelled
at ground floor. Distyle in antis Roman Doric doorpiece
to St Vincent Street. 1st floor: distyle in antis Greek
Ionic tripartite window above entry, shouldered
architraved windows with consoled cornices. 2nd floor:
shouldered and lugged architraved, corniced windows,
sculpted guilloche frieze, dentil band, mutule cornice
with monogramed cartouche (NSB) at NW corner. Attic:
banded masonry and blocked architraves to wide windows.
Slate mansard roof with segmental pedimented dormers.
Built for North of Scotland Bank.
