Description

Mid 19th century. Lampblacked 2-storey villa with classical

details. Droved ashlar with polished base-course and margins, single-storey entrance porch to N flank.

3-bay W elevation; single storey canted window to ground

flanked by single-light sashes. To 1st, tripartites flank

single window. All windows architraved and corniced, lugged

at 1st; sash windows, plate glass or 4-pane glazing.

Stepped-back single storey corniced porch with blocking

course to N flank, architraved doorway.

Moulded band course at 1st floor cills, eaves strings. Deeply overhanging timber bracketted eaves, slate roofs, corniced

axial and wallhead stacks.

Rear elevation stugged coursed ashlar.

Detached 2-storey mews cottage/garage to N droved and coursed

ashlar with 2 carriage entrances. Round arched windows to W

gable; timber bracketted eaves pitched slate roof.

Low coped stugged ashlar boundary wall to garden. Pair of 2

painted ashlar corniced gatepiers.
