Description

Mid 19th century. Detached villa with classical details;
2-storeys and attics. Main elevation 3-bay with recessed
2-bay wing to W. Polished ashlar, smooth rusticated quoins.
Main elevation: steps to Doric pillar porch with antefixae
to low piended roof with low cast-iron railings to parapet.
Pilastered arched doorpiece; double-leaf panelled doors.
Flanking porch at ground, canted windows, corniced and with
blocking course, supporting low decorative cast-iron
railings. 1st floor windows architraved, bipartite over
canted windows.
Recessed wing to W. 2-bay simply detailed with bipartite
architraved windows. Stugged ashlar E flank and rear: windows
with polished margins. 5-bay asymmetrical rear elevation with
single storey range of domestic offices projecting SE. To
right, 7-light bow window to ground and 1st floors.
Tall arched central stair window with leaded glass. Attic
billiard room with long low arcaded top light. Tall corniced
axial stacks, some octagonal flues, slate roofs.
Droved ashlar boundary wall with polished coping; tall square
painted ashlar corniced gatepiers.
