Description

Alexander MacNaughton 1882. 4-storey, 4-bay tenement with Barional details, forming part of terrace. Coursed orange sandstone with polished ashlar dressings. Base course; string course above ground floor and at 2nd floor; raised window surrounds; chamfered reveals. W ENTRANCE elevation: roll-moulded doorway in 2nd bay with single window flanking to left; single windows above; pedimented dormerhead. Full-height canted window corbelled to square at gablehead in 1st bay; vesica set in gablehead; corbelled skewputts and stone finial. Full-height canted window with swept canopy in 3rd bay; crowstepped gablehead with stone finial. Single windows in bay to outer right; semi-circular pedimented dormerhead with stone finial. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; coped mutual stacks; scroll bracketted skewputts. INTERIORS: not seen 1991.
