Circa 1866. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular plan villa. Squared and snecked rubble sides and rear; finely stugged and coursed ashlar with polished ressings at E (entrance) elevation. Base, dividing band, and blocking courses; cornice; rusticated quoins; raised window surrounds with chamfered reveals.
E (ENTRANCE) elevation: central pilastered doorpiece with carved consoles supporting cornice; deep-set panelled door; round-arched plate glass fanlight; keystone above fanlight. Single windows above and flanking to right at ground and 1st floors; full height canted by flanking to left.
N ELEVATION: single window at 1st floor; sympathetic lower 2-storey piended-roof extension to rear (1883).
S ELEVATION: small leaded and painted glass window at ground floor.
W ELEVATION: small contemporary lean-to beneath central round-arched stair window; single window flanking to left, and rear entrance flanking to right at ground floor; regular fenestration at 1st floor.
Sash and case windows, plate glass to E, 8-pane to W.
Grey slate piended roof; lead flashing; shouldered and corniced wallhead stacks to N (rendered) and S; mainly octagonal cans; snow guards at SW corner.
INTERIOR: many original features retained, including encaustic tiles, glass-panelled vestibule door; elaborate plasterwork mouldings, wooden door pediments, fireplaces, fireplates, bell pushes, picture rails, brass coat hooks, cast-iron balustrade, richly coloured stained glass stair window, embossed wallpaper, and silk wallhangings.
Low ashlar coped boundary wall to street. Detached garage to S.
