Description

Earlier 19th century. 4-storey, 5-bay plain classical tenement. Droved ashlar sandstone. Base course; eaves cornice. Narrow polished ashlar surrounds to windows. Long and short quoins. Regularly fenestrated. Corniced doorpiece with foliate necking to Doric-pilasters.

Predominantly 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows.

Statement of Interest

B group comprises Nos 40 and 46 Lauriston Street. Although these buildings look earlier, they do not appear on maps until 1851.
