Circa 1815. Mirrored pair of 3-storey and attic 3-bay terraced houses with classical details. Cream sandstone, ashlar front (stonework in poor condition with extensive plastic repairs), polished at ground floor, tooled above, coursed rubble to rear. Base course; architraved windows at ground floor; dentilled eaves cornice with blocking course.
SW (FRONT) ELEVATION: Roman Doric doorpieces to inner bays, rendered with cornices and blocking course; panelled door (part glazed) and original fanlight to No 4; single windows above. Single windows to remaining bays. 3 rectangular dormers (to outer right tripartite) with half-piended roofs.
NE (REAR) ELEVATION: single windows; 4 dormers.
Timber sash and case windows, mostly 12-pane, plate glass glazing to ground and 1st floor of No 5, replacement windows to centre and left dormer. Slate roof, mutual stacks. Downpipe recess dividing properties.
INTERIOR: not seen 1992.
