Description

Probably circa 1815. 3-storey, 3-bay terraced house with classical details and single storey addition to E. Cream sandstone, stugged ashlar with droved dressings to front, coursed rubble to rear and sides. Base course; ground floor windows architraved and corniced; taller 1st floor windows; eaves cornice.

SW (FRONT) ELEVATION: doorway with Ionic pilasters and dentilled cornice to outer right bay; single windows above. Single windows to remaining bays extended down at 1st floor. Single storey rendered addition to E with doorway (detailed as above) giving access to timber stair on gable to outer left (adjoining doorway of No 3); secondary doorway to right; skylight to flat roof.

SE ELEVATION: gabled with off-centre apex stack; single storey addition at ground floor.

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: single windows; bipartite dormer.

Timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing. Slate roof with apex (see above) and mutual stack.

INTERIOR: not seen 1992.
