Circa 1810. 2-storey, 4-bay flatted terraced house with raised basement and attic. Ashlar sandstone to front: polished and rusticated to ground floor; droved to basement and 1st floor with polished dressings. Squared and snecked rubble to side and rear. Base course, band course, mutuled eaves cornice and blocking course.
SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: regularly spaced openings. Doors to 2 left bays at ground floor with rectangular plate glass fanlights. Blocked window at 2nd bay, 1st floor. Canted dormer over 2 right-hand bays. Small skylight between bays 1 and 2. Basement windows.
SE ELEVATION: gabled. Door to centre at basement level; windows at intermediate levels, uppermost with cast-iron window guard. Modern window left of centre between ground and 1st floor.
NE ELEVATION: 3 bays grouped 2-1. Ornamental cast-iron window guards to bays 1 and 2 at 1st floor. 2 rectangular dormers; small rooflight to centre near ridge.
Plate glass timber sash and case windows to ground floor and 3rd bay at 1st floor to rear. 4-pane timber sash and case windows to front-facing 1st floor openings; 16-pane timber sash and case with flanking 4-pane sash and case windows to dormer above. Modern glazing to remaining openings. Grey slate roof with piended and slate-hung dormers. Droved ashlar wallhead chimney stacks with coping: mutual stack to outer left. Ashlar coped skews.
INTERIOR: not seen (1995).
BOUNDARY WALL: Ashlar coped dwarf wall with modern railings to street. 8 stone steps oversailing basement to door.
