Description

Circa 1810. 2-storey, 3-bay terraced house with raised basement and attic. Ashlar sandstone to front: polished and rusticated to ground floor; droved to basement and 1st floor with polished dressings. Squared and snecked rubble to rear. Base course, band course, mutuled eaves cornice and blocking course.

SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: regularly spaced openings. Panelled door to outer right ground floor bay with rectangular plate glass fanlight. Large canted dormer to left; 2 rooflights above outer right bay. Basement windows.

NE ELEVATION: regular 2-bay composition: modern door to outer left ground floor bay. Canted dormer to centre, 2 rooflights to right.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows to bays 1 and 2 of ground and 1st floor to front, and to dormer above. 4-pane timber sash and case windows to basement, 3rd bay at 1st floor and rear dormer. 12-pane timber sash and case windows to right bay to rear. Mutual multi-flue, ashlar wallhead stacks with coping. Ashlar coped skews.

INTERIOR: not seen (1995).

BOUNDARY WALL: Coursed rubble dwarf wall with ashlar coping and modern railings to street. 8 stone steps oversailing basement to door.
